Child Safety Standards

Last updated: 7 August 2026.

This page sets out Wassav's standards for combating child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). It is published in accordance with the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy and applicable requirements for online services. The French version prevails.

Wassav is strictly limited to people aged 18 and over. The app is not intended for minors and is not accessible to them.

1. Zero tolerance

Wassav enforces a zero-tolerance policy toward any content or conduct involving child sexual abuse or exploitation. The following are strictly prohibited, without exception:

Any violation results in immediate removal of the content, permanent closure of the account concerned, and reporting to the competent authorities where required by law.

2. Age restriction at sign-up

Access to the service requires a declared date of birth. That date is validated server-side: any sign-up corresponding to a person under 18 is rejected, and this check cannot be bypassed from the app.

Sign-up also requires phone number verification by SMS code. This step limits the creation of anonymous or disposable accounts and helps identify malicious ones.

If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, that account is closed and the associated data deleted.

3. Service design

Wassav has no public feed, no open gallery, and no space for publishing to an undefined audience. Exchanges take place in closed, bounded contexts:

None of these spaces is open to an undefined audience, and there is no public visual content broadcasting feature.

4. In-app reporting

Anyone using Wassav can report a user or content directly from the app, without leaving the context where the problem appeared:

Every report is recorded and retained for review. Reports covered by this policy are treated as a priority. For any urgent situation, the address given in section 5 is the fastest way to reach us.

A user may also block another user at any time. Blocking stops matching and private exchanges between the two accounts. The list of blocked accounts can be reviewed and reversed from the app settings.

5. Reporting outside the app

Any content or conduct involving child sexual abuse or exploitation can be reported to us directly at contact@wassav.com, including by someone who does not use the service.

In France, such matters can also be reported directly to the authorities via the PHAROS platform (internet-signalement.gouv.fr), or by calling 119 (child protection helpline). In an immediate emergency, call 17 or 112.

6. Handling of reports

On receiving a report covered by this policy, we remove the content concerned, suspend and then permanently close the account, preserve material relevant to any proceedings, and report to the competent authorities where required by law.

7. Legal compliance

Wassav complies with applicable child protection laws, in particular French and European Union law, as well as the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy and Apple's App Store guidelines.

8. Designated contact

The designated point of contact for any question relating to the prevention of child sexual abuse material and to the enforcement of this policy is:

Hubert HONGOIS
33 bis boulevard André Netwiller
31200 Toulouse, France
contact@wassav.com

9. Changes

Any change to these standards is published on this page with a new update date.
