Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Wassav ("we") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our mobile application and related services. The French version is the authoritative version.

1. Data controller

The data controller is Hubert HONGOIS, 33 bis boulevard André Netwiller, 31200 Toulouse, France. Contact: contact@wassav.com.

2. Data we collect

• Account — username / email / phone number, password (hashed), date of birth, city, profile photo.
• Preferences — interests, outing styles, search radius, target age range.
• Location — GPS position (only during active use of instant availability "Mo cho" or "Blo" groups).
• Activity — events created or joined, messages, confirmations, reliability.
• Technical — push notification token (Firebase / APNs), app version, operating system.

3. Legal bases

We process your data on the following bases: performance of the contract (provision of the service), legitimate interest (security, abuse prevention, service improvement), and consent (geolocation, notifications).

4. How we use your data

• Enable meetups by suggesting compatible duos / Blo groups.
• Facilitate logistical coordination (place, time, presence).
• Ensure safety (phone verification, moderation of repeated refusals).
• Notify users in real time of relevant events.

5. Automated decisions

Duo and Blo suggestions are based on your preferences and availability. No decision producing legal effects is taken in a fully automated way.

6. Sharing with third parties

Your data is not sold. We only use the processors strictly necessary to operate the service:

• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — push notifications.
• Twilio Verify — phone number verification.
• Google Places — venue suggestions.
• Amazon Web Services (Lightsail, S3, Amplify) — hosting.

7. Transfers outside the EU

Some providers (Google/Firebase, Amazon Web Services, Twilio) may process data outside the European Union, in particular in the United States. These transfers are governed by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent protection mechanism.

8. Security

Hashed passwords, encryption of data in transit (TLS), restricted access to data, providers selected for their security guarantees.

9. Retention

Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. Deleting your account leads to permanent deletion within 30 days.

10. Deleting your data

You can delete your account from the app settings, or by writing to contact@wassav.com. All your data is permanently deleted within 30 days. See also our account deletion page.

11. Minors

The service is strictly reserved for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data about minors.

12. No advertising or tracking

Wassav does not use your data for targeted advertising or for tracking across third-party apps or websites.

13. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, port, object to, and restrict the processing of your data. Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. To exercise these rights, write to contact@wassav.com.

You may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).

14. Changes

Any change to this policy is published on this page with a new update date; substantial changes are notified in the app.
